April 10, 2016. The completion of today's 114th edition of the Paris-Roubaix bicycle road race marked the latest chapter of one of professional cycling's most storied races. Famous for its rough terrain and cobblestones (also referred to as "setts") it is one of the "Monuments" on the European calendar. Referred to as "The Hell of the North", "a Sunday in Hell" and "the Queen of the Classics", today's victor was Mathew Hayman of Australia.
